BREAKING: Chinese court says Apple to pay local company $60 million to settle iPad name dispute.
Proview earned $60,000,000.00 for the name they used for their iMac rip-off. Seems about right.
Proview had been largely expected to push for a settlement, given comments from its chairman and speculation that its creditors were seeking a pay out, but the firm now looks hungrier than ever for a fight with Apple.
Oh stop whining.
Christian Sibreg, on the ongoing legal battle between Apple and Proview (that company that sold Apple the name 'IPAD' and is now suing them claiming that the sale did not include use of the name in China.:
Associated Press this morning reported of a heated exchange between cash-strapped Proview, which recently filed for bankruptcy, and the Silicon Valley giant.
